SWIFT" is a beautiful example of the classic Contessa 32 class. Built in 1979, she benefits from substantial refits in 2013 and 2016, which included a new Yanmar 3YM 20AE engine, currently with 60 hours on the clock, a new Selden mast & boom, with single-line reefing, and standing and running rigging replaced at the same time. Also a new Jeremy Rogers rudder, Darglow folding propeller, and much more. SWIFT has been extremely well cared for throughout her history and has been owned by her present owners for the last 9 years. She has been lightly cruised, never raced and is in exceptional condition for her age. She is currently in the water in Chichester Harbour, West Sussex. Owner is reluctantly selling due to family demands for larger boat.
HISTORY – Swift was built in 1979 by Jeremy Rogers and taken down to Cornwall. She was then bought by a boat yard owner in Largs, Scotland where after some light sailing, she was kept in a shed for 10 years. Swift was then bought by a marine engineer in Blythe, Northumberland, who over wintered her in a large shed each year. She has spent the last 9 years in the Chichester Harbour, and been overwintered and on land, with a winter cover every year since. Full specs and pictures available on request.
